About Me

Sebastian Perry (b. 2003) is a composer pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Composition at George Mason University. His piece, “Transforming Hope” was named winner of the inaugural Mason Wind Symphony Commencement Fanfare competition and premiered by the Mason Wind Symphony, conducted by Dr. William L. Lake,  Jr., at the Spring 2024 GMU Commencement, and his piece “Shining Through the Clouds” was the selected Bachelor’s level entry for the inaugural Mason Wind Symphony Resonare Contemporary Music Project call for scores. He was selected to participate in the 2023 and 2024 VMEA Composition Festivals. Sebastian regularly performs with ensembles in the band, jazz, new music, and orchestra departments at GMU on piano and oboe, and he is the president of the Mason student chapter of Society of Composers, Inc.

 

Sebastian is a registered member of ASCAP and the Vice President of Service for the Mu Omicron chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi, National Honorary Band Fraternity, Inc.
